The A-League is set to return in no time at all, kicking off in late October this year, and the Western Sydney Wanderers will take their round 4 clash to Mudgee.
The Wanderers take on Brisbane Roar at the Glen Willow Regional Sports Stadium on Saturday, November 10 at 5:35pm.

The match forms part of the Wanderers regional and community strategy for the 2018/19 A-League season. The fixture will be the very first time a Hyundai A-League match has been played in Mudgee, with the Wanderers working closely with the Mid Western Regional Council, Bathurst Regional Council and Orange City Council, helping to grow the game in the Central West region.

The Wanderers will be giving back to the local community also, with several school clinics and cup tournaments organized. There will be six school clinics run in Mudgee, three in Orange, and three in Bathurst, expecting to involve over 1,000 school children at the clinics alone.

The Western Sydney Wanderers CEO, John Tsatsimas, spoke about the Community match commenting that “We’re looking forward to engaging with and forming lasting relationships with the local communities of Mudgee, Bathurst and Orange this Hyundai A-League season.”

“The Community match is always a very important match in the Wanderers schedule and we’re proud to be playing in the first ever Hyundai A-League match in Mudgee.”

The Glen Willow Stadium is no stranger to hosting professional sport, with Rugby Union and Rugby League being played at the ground in the last 18 months at the professional level.

The Wanderers are already off to a flying start in their preseason campaign, heading through to the quarter finals of the FFA Cup, where they will take on Melbourne City, with only four A-League sides remaining in the Cup.

The Wanderers have strengthened their squad throughout the offseason with several signings including German pair, defender Patrick Ziegler from Kaiserslauten, and attacking midfielder from Vitória. The exciting signings will be joined by Melbourne City trio Nick Fitzgerald, Bruce Kamau and Ruon Tongyik, as well as Adelaide United duo Tarek Elrich and Jordan O’Doherty.
