GIANTS Netball 2023 Season Preview and everything you need to know
Get behind the GIANTS during the 2023 Suncorp Super Netball season!
All eyes will be on the GIANTS Netball team in Season 2023 as they look to build upon their previous successes and compete for the championship title once again.
With an impressive line-up of players, fans can expect to see the return of crowd favourites Jo Harten and April Brandley, alongside promising young talent, Sophie Dwyer. The 19-year-old shooting sensation has been a standout performer and is widely recognised as a future star of Australian netball. Another player who has cemented their position as the starting wing attack with the GIANTS is midcourter Maddie Hay, who is now regarded as one of the most consistent wing attacks in the league.
What’s happening on Game Day:
The GIANTS will play seven home games at Sydney’s home of netball, Ken Rosewall Arena, in Sydney Olympic Park.
There’s something for everyone on GIANTS game day with loads of popular activities returning in 2023 including face painting, hair braiding, GIANT chill out zone, inflatables and an array of food and beverage options. There will be plenty of other activations announced during the season, so you won’t want to miss a minute of the action!
The 2023 season promises to be an exciting one for the GIANTS Netball team, as they look to add another championship to their long list of achievements. With the right combination of talent and determination, it’s not hard to see why they are one of the most formidable teams in the league. Fans can eagerly look forward to what promises to be an action-packed season of netball.

The GIANTS open their 2023 season on the road, taking on the Sunshine Coast Lightning on Sunday, March 19.
In round two, the GIANTS will then head home and host the reigning premiers, the West Coast Fever, for their first game of the season on Sunday, March 26.
The rivalry between the GIANTS and Magpies will add another chapter as the ‘Pies return to Ken Rosewall Arena for the first time since last year’s semi-final defeat in round five.
You will want to be courtside in round seven when the first installment of the NSW Derby hits Sydney Olympic Park in what is sure to be a fiery, entertaining clash.
In back-to-back weekends of home games, the GIANTS will then host the Adelaide Thunderbirds as the league celebrates inclusion across the game of netball.
Rounds 10 and 11 will be a double dose of State of Origin as both Queensland teams – the Firebirds and the Lightning face the GIANTS on home turf.
The GIANTS will close out the home and away season by hosting the Melbourne Vixens at home in round 14.
