FORMULA 1 QATAR AIRWAYS AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX 2026: Everything you need to know

The FORMULA 1 QATAR AIRWAYS AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX will return to Albert Park from 5 to 8 March 2026. The American Express (Amex) Pre-Sale will go live at 12pm (AEST) on Wednesday 3 September 2025. The general public Onsale is at 12pm (AEST) Wednesday 10 September.

Recommended Ticket Tips

• Ticketholders need a My Ticketmaster account to access FORMULA 1 QATAR AIRWAYS AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX 2026 tickets. Sign up or sign in here.  
  
• All FORMULA 1 QATAR AIRWAYS AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX 2026tickets purchased via Ticketmaster.com.au are digital, and can only be accessed via the Ticketmaster App or Ticketmaster.com.au on a mobile browser – there will be no printed tickets, with the exception of Collector Tickets.  
  
• Only purchase through Ticketmaster to guarantee you have a valid ticket for entry on the day.

How many tickets can I buy for the FORMULA 1 QATAR AIRWAYS AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX 2026?

There is a ticket limit of 6 for the Amex Pre-Sale.

There is a ticket limit of 10 for the General Public Onsale.  

Please adhere to the published ticket limit. Persons who exceed the ticket limit may have any or all of their orders and tickets cancelled without notice by Ticketmaster at its discretion. This includes orders associated with the same name, e-mail address, billing address, credit card number, or any other information.  

Can I purchase the same seat I have had in the past?

To ensure fairness, fans are not able to reserve the same seat for consecutive years.

Yes! You will now be able to view multiple Grandstands at once. To enhance your experience, Grandstands will now be grouped by location. You’ll be able to easily explore nearby options, as well as your preferred Grandstand. The Grandstand groupings are as follows:   

-Piastri, Fangio, Senna, Prost, and Schumacher Grandstands   

-Brabham, Jones, Ricciardo, Hill, and American Express Grandstands   

-Stewart, Button, and Clark Grandstands   

-Waite, Vettel, Webber, and Lauda Grandstands 

There will still be a separate Interactive Seat Mapfor each Grandstand grouping based on 4-Day, 2-Day, and Single Day ticket types.

Fangio & Prost Grandstands 

**A Handling Fee per transaction applies. There is a ticket limit of 6 per customer for the Amex Pre-Sale, and a ticket limit of 10 per customer for the General Public Onsale. Tickets are subject to availability. All prices are in AUD.  

Brabham & Jones Grandstands

Schumacher, Senna & Ricciardo Grandstand

Do I need to purchase a ticket for my child? 

Yes, all children aged between 3-14 are required to purchase a junior ticket to the event. This includes Park Pass, Grandstand and Hospitality tickets.

Who qualifies as a Concession? 

Fans holding a concession ticket must provide identification confirming their concession status at the time of entry. This will need to be with the fan at all times during the event. AGPC will only accept the following cards as proof of concession:  

-Full Pensioner Concession Card  

-Full Time Student Card (including International)  

-Health Care Card  

-Veterans Affairs Card  

Seniors cards are not accepted as a form of concession.

If a fan purchases a concession ticket and is unable to show one of the above identifications upon entry to, or during the event, they may be refused entry or directed to leave the event.   

Is there accessible seating available?

Accessible tickets are available in all categories of tickets, including Hospitality, Grandstands, and Park Pass. You can search for accessible tickets HERE.

Wheelchair tickets

  • Schumacher Grandstand, Jones Grandstand, and the Turn 12 Reserved Accessible Platform offer reserved accessible wheelchair seating.
  • There is also unreserved accessible wheelchair platforms located at Turn 2, Turn 4 and Turn 12.

How do I purchase accessible tickets?  

Accessible tickets can be purchased HERE.  Hospitality tickets can only be booked through the Australian Grand Prix website.

If you require a wheelchair space, Companion Card booking, or have other accessibility requirements, please submit your request through the Ticketmaster Accessible Booking Form and follow these steps:

  1. From the drop down menu, select Accessible Bookings as the topic.
  2. Then select FORMULA 1 QATAR AIRWAYS AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX 2026 as the event name.

Alternatively, you can call our Accessible Seating Line on 1800 100 030, available Monday to Sunday, 9am – 5pm (AEST).Submitting a request doesn’t guarantee a ticket. A Ticketmaster representative will be in touch if further information is required.

What does ‘Partial View’ mean? 

There is a small range of tickets throughout the circuit that are flagged as partial view due to the railings of the grandstand or other unavoidable restrictions. All front-row seating is flagged as partial view due to the railing in front of you. 

What is an ‘Aisle Ticket’? 

In the grandstands, an Aisle ticket is the first 4 seats from each aisle. This also includes seats at the back of an aisle. These tickets have a $25 surcharge, as they are either close to or on an aisle, or they don’t have any seats in front of them. This applies to all grandstands.  

 

How do Grandstands work on Thursday? 

Thursday is a great opportunity to explore different Grandstands as all seats are unreserved. For 4-Day Grandstand ticket holders, Thursday offers General Admission seating. Reserved Grandstand seats are offered from Friday to Sunday.

What are Joy Flights?

Want to enjoy the excitement and thrill of a helicopter flight whilst visiting the FORMULA 1 QATAR AIRWAYS AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX 2026?

PHS will be conducting our highly popular Joy Flights throughout this year’s event. The flight takes you on one of our most scenic flight patterns around the entire Albert Park Circuit. You’ll have breathtaking views of the Melbourne CBD and Port Phillip Bay.

Tour Inclusions:

• Two laps of the Grand Prix Circuit (approximately 6 – 8 minutes).

• Joy Flights operate Thursday between 10am – 5pm and Friday – Sunday between 9am – 5pm, weather permitting.

• Departures from our exclusive helipad situated next to Gate 10.

Please note:
This flight ticket is not an event ticket. A ticket to the FORMULA 1 QATAR AIRWAYS AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX 2026 is required to gain access to our Joy Flights located within the grounds.

Do I need to purchase a Park Pass ticket in addition to a Grandstand ticket? 

No, if you have purchased a Grandstand ticket, you don’t need to purchase an additional Park Pass ticket.

How do I purchase Hospitality tickets?

Hospitality tickets can only be booked through the Australian Grand Prix website.

What is a Collector Ticket? 

A Collector Ticket is a hard copy ticket that not only gets you into the event but also serves as a treasured keepsake to be kept well after the race is over. When available, you can find them by selecting Collector Ticket under the ticket type when choosing your tickets. They incur a $25 fee.  

Collector Tickets can only be delivered to fans with a valid Australian address by mail.  

If you haven’t received your Collector Ticket within one week prior to the event, please submit a query to our Fan Support team. Include your event name, and Collector Tickets Not Arrived as the subject.  

Get to know Ticketmaster’s Smart Queue!

We expect that tickets to the FORMULA 1 QATAR AIRWAYS AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX 2026 will be in high demand, and to make the process fair for everyone you may be placed in a queue. Simply select your preferred Grandstand and Ticket Type (4-Day, 2-Day or Single Day) and you’ll be placed into the relevant queue during the onsale.

You will be assigned a random place in the queue once the onsale starts. Your place in the queue is not based on what time you entered the Waiting Room. We suggest entering the Waiting Room 15-30 minutes prior to the start of the Amex Pre-Sale.

Once you get your spot in the queue, please do not refresh your browser as you will be pushed to the end of the line.

We will get you through the queue as quickly as possible, so please sit tight. Keep an eye out for live updates throughout the onsale regarding ticket availability and key information to ensure you’ve got the best chance to land tickets to this high demand event.

All FORMULA 1 AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX 2026 tickets will be digital

Get to know Ticket Transfer so everyone has their own ticket

1.Open the Ticketmaster App

2.Tap on my events and select the event you want to Ticket Transfer

3.Tap ‘Transfer’ below the ticket you want to share (please note: you may have to wait a moment for the ‘Transfer’ button to load)

4.On the ‘Select Tickets To Transfer’ page, confirm the ticket you want to share (please note – you must Transfer each ticket individually)

5.Tap the ‘Transfer To’ button. Tap ‘Manually Enter A Recipient’ & enter your friend’s ‘First Name’, ‘Last Name’, and ‘Email Address or Mobile Number’

6.Tap ‘Transfer Ticket’. The ticket in your account will now say “Sent”. You can cancel or recall the Ticket Transfer at any time.

7.Your friend receives an email, asking them to accept the transferred tickets, and they can either login or create a new Ticketmaster account to accept.

8.The tickets are now ready to go in your friend’s Ticketmaster account and marked as ‘Transferred’ in your account

How do I resell my ticket?

Resale is only available for Park Pass and Grandstand tickets through our official resale platform. For step by step instructions, visit our help page How do I sell my tickets?  

 

Log into your Ticketmaster account and update your password if needed!

Get in early and ensure all your MyTicketmaster account details are up to date – from your password to your card details and your phone number.

Ticketmaster will regularly ask you to update your password to ensure the security of your account – you don’t want to get stuck having to change your password while the ticket timer is counting down during onsale as you can risk losing the incredible tickets you have secured.

Instead, now that you know you want to purchase tickets, log into your account and update your password today to ensure you are ready to nab those tickets.
