Your guide to the 2024 Sydney Royal Easter Show

Spend your Easter weekend celebrating everything that makes Australian culture great.

Come and celebrate everything we know and love about the Sydney Royal Easter Show and rural Australia: farmers, food and good old-fashioned family fun. With so much to see and do, from old classics to new favourites, there’s something for everyone!

Buy your tickets to the Sydney Royal Easter Show 2024 early to SAVE. Early Bird Tickets will be sold exclusively online until midnight 21 March. Daily tickets are strictly limited so to avoid disappointment jump online to select your preferred day and save.

Want to enjoy the Show as the sun goes down? Pre-purchase an after 4pm Show Ticket to head down and enjoy everything on offer, with tickets providing access to all areas including non-reserved seats in GIANTS Stadium for the evening entertainment (subject to availability). After 4pm tickets are only available online until midnight 21 March.

Ride & Play – from games to carnival rides, there’s fun for Showgoers of all ages

With 100s of rides and games on offer at the Show, Australia’s largest carnival will provide countless hours of fun for the whole family.

At the Gong cha Carnival you’ll find wild rides for thrill seekers including the Rebel Coaster, Sling Shot and Sky Flyer. Challenge yourself on The Beast, swinging 45 metres into the air on the giant pendulum and the turbocharged XXXL that twists upside down and inside out at lightning speed.

Furry friends are always a show favourite

From cute and cuddly to big and beastly, there will be thousands of animals at the Show across a huge array of activations and demonstrations. Follow the footprints and stroll along the Animal Walk where you’ll encounter all type of creatures big and small including Sydney Royal award-winning animals and farmyard friends.

The pavilions will be bursting with animals – from the crowd favourite Farmyard Nursery with adorable baby goats, cows, ducks and more, to the Pet Pavilion featuring a variety of popular household pets and of course, the very best Australian live stock and farm animals.

Eat your way around the Sydney Royal Easter Show

Get ready for the newest and most delicious food at the 2024 Sydney Royal Easter Show. Whether you’re in the mood for something sweet, savoury, or indulgent, there’s something to satisfy every taste bud with a huge array of mouth-watering treats right across the showgrounds.

It’s also not too late to enjoy a taste delight with a Sydney Royal Cheese and Charcuterie Board featuring Sydney Royal award-winning produce. Order through Ticketmaster with your tickets and collect from either the Sweet Sensation Bar located in the Show’s foodie destination on Hawkesbury Street, or the Tyrell’s Wine Bar located in the Woolworths Dome.

Entertainment galore at the Show

There’s entertainment galore at the Show from roaming performers, gripping competitions and of course, the iconic Grand Parade – seeing the best of the best in Australian agriculture make their way around the main arena.

This year the world-class Woodchopping and Sawing competition celebrates 125 years from its first appearance at the Show and for the first time ever will feature the Women’s World Championships! The Sydney Royal Woodchopping and Sawing Competition is the only comp nation wide to include five world title events, including the crowd-favourite 325mm Tree Felling contest.

It all wraps up at night in the Main Arena with the after-dark drone show and the famous Show fireworks. Sit back and settle in as the night sky lights up with cascades of colour for the nightly fireworks display, with the addition of drones!

Don’t go home empty handed – check out the showbags

Did you even come to the Show if you go home without a Showbag or two? With options including novelties and television shows to magazines and make-up, magic and sweet treats or footy teams, there’s a showbag for everyone.

Getting to the Show

Ticketholders are encouraged to leave the car at home and catch public transport to the Show. Sydney Olympic Park is easily accessible by public transport and plenty of extra services will run each day of the event including express trains and Major Event Buses.

Your ticket to the Show includes entry and return travel on public transport between Friday 22 March and Tuesday 2 April. All you need to do is show your Show ticket or approved pass to the Transport for NSW staff when boarding services.

Public transport services include Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Intercity services, Sydney Metro North West Services, Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses, Sydney metropolitan and outer metropolitan buses, Sydney and Newcastle Light Rail services and Sydney and Newcastle Ferries.
