The Sydney Royal Easter Show is back in 2026! See it First as the Show brings the best of rural Australia to the heart of the city in a celebration of farmers, food, family fun and the unforgettable traditions Australians know and love.

New for 2026, the Show comes alive After Dark, transforming Sydney Showground into a glowing nighttime spectacular. Immerse yourself in the magic of the new Ignite the Magic night-time illuminated street parade, where glowing animal lanterns and pulsing music transforms the Show after dark. The parade’s swirling colours, lively choreography and dream-like atmosphere creates a magical, otherworldly procession.

Night-time arena highlights include Tribute to Banjo and the breathtaking equine spectacle Imagine a Horse, before each day concludes with a spectacular fireworks finale.

From woolly merino sheep to majestic show horses and prize bulls, there will be more than 13,000 animals who call the Easter show home for 12 days. Follow the footprints and stroll along the Animal Walk where you’ll encounter all types of creatures big and small including Sydney Royal award-winning animals and farmyard friends.

The pavilions will be bursting with animals – from the crowd favourite Farmyard Nursery with adorable baby goats, cows, ducks, and more, to the Pet Pavilion featuring a variety of popular household pets and of course, the very best Australian livestock and farm animals. And if you are in the mood to horse around, head to the Paddock for a Pony ride!

From paddocks to pavilions, families can step straight into farm life, meeting the animals, people and practices that shape Australian agriculture.

Getting to the Show

Ticketholders are encouraged to leave their car at home and catch public transport to the Show. Sydney Olympic Park is easily accessible by public transport and plenty of extra services will run each day of the event including express trains and Major Event Buses.

Your ticket to the Show includes entry and return travel on public transport between Thursday 2 April and Monday 13 April. All you need to do is show your Show ticket or approved pass to the Transport for NSW staff when boarding services.

Public transport services include Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Intercity services, Sydney Metro Northwest Services, Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses, Sydney Metropolitan and outer metropolitan buses, Sydney and Newcastle Light Rail services, and Sydney and Newcastle Ferries.
