Prepare to lol, The Play That Goes Wrong is coming

It’s the Olivier Award-winning production that’s had the West End in stitches, now The Play That Goes Wrong is hotfooting it over to Australia.

Currently en route to Broadway (then Oz!), this hilarious production is for fans of laughing until your belly hurts.

“We laughed until the tears ran down our faces,” said iconic English actress Joanna Lumley on the play, which follows a group of amateur actors performing a murder mystery, set in the 1920s.

As the title suggests though, things are far from straight forward!

The Plat That Goes Wrong is brought to us by the Mischief Theatre and stars Aus’ very own Logie award-winner Brooke Satchwell, Darcy Brown, Francine Cain, Adam Dunn, Luke Joslin, George Kemp, Jordan Prosser, Nick Simpson-Deeks and Tammy Weller, alongside original UK cast member James Marlowe.

There’s a reason why this show won Best New Comedy at London’s Olivier Awards last year, and it has something to do with the pure hilarity in its writing and delivery.

Prepare to laugh. A lot.

The Play That Goes Wrong opens at Melbourne’s Comedy Theatre in February 2017, with previews starting on Wednesday 22 February. Secure your seats now at Ticketmaster.com.au.
