It is that time of year again! The bells are jingling, the lights are twinkling and the shopping centres are already stacked with loads of Christmas goodies!

Believe it or not, the Christmas events around Australia’s capital cities are starting already! If you love to soak up every little moment the festive season has to offer you better get ready to be merry and bright from as early as this weekend!

The Christmas events throughout Australia are about to get underway from now until the big day on December 25. Part 1 of our Christmas events and activities guide has plenty of fun activities the entire family can enjoy!

The 4pm Kids Carols at Big Top Luna Park in Sydney allow you to take the kids for all the fun and excitement of Christmas Carols and still give you time to get home at a reasonable time. The Kids Carols in the City will feature some family favourites such as Paddington Bear, Peppa Pig and Sam Moran. This is a wonderful family event and one you do not want to miss!

One of the only downsides of a southern hemisphere Christmas is missing out on seeing this magical time of year against the back drop of snow and ice. But with the Christmas Spectacular on Ice you can imagine you are enjoying a White Christmas like our northern neighbours! This event, which is selling very quickly, will bring to life some classic stories on ice including Disney’s Frozen and The Nutcracker. This event is extremely popular, get in quick so you don’t miss out on tickets.

David Jones Family Weekend – Arts and Crafts

David Jones’ Hay Street and Queens Plaza stores are welcoming families to a free event featuring loads of great activities to get you in the mood for Christmas. As well as Carolling and story-telling, kids will love the face painting and arts and crafts. The event is free, but space is limited so it is important you pre-book tickets to avoid disappointment.

The David Jones Christmas Pantomimes

The On Seven Sydney David Jones store will be presenting some fun Christmas pantomimes from November 12-15. Your kids will be amazed to see many of their favourite characters lighting up the stage including Barbie, Thomas and Friends, Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom and of course, the man of the hour, Santa Claus!

This is Christmas at The Palms

Anthony Callea will present This Is Christmas and will be joined on stage by very special guests Rhonda Burchmore and violin virtuoso, Patrick Roberts. The trio will perform some of your favourite Christmas and holiday songs in what promises to be a night to remember.
