JLT Community Series is back and now on sale

The AFL’s preseason competition, the JLT Community Series, is now on sale.

The JLT Community Series takes the game to communities right across the nation, giving Clubs and players the chance to test and showcase their wares prior to the season proper.

It gives us the chance to see new recruits and young stars in action for the first time at their Clubs, giving us an insight into our side prior to the Premiership season. The Series travels far and wide across the nation, hosting games in towns, communities, and grounds that would not ordinarily host AFL matches.

The Series kicks off with arch-rivals Carlton and Essendon doing battle on Thursday 28 February, as footy once again returns to Ikon Park. The JLT Community Series will then last from Thursday 28 February until Monday 11 March, with each Club afforded two practice games leading into the real thing starting in late March.

This year will see West Coast head to Leederville as they face Geelong (Friday 1 March), footy in Avalon as Melbourne battle St Kilda (Saturday 2 March) and the Lions will even head to Moreton Bay to take on Hawthorn (Sunday 3 March).

The second week of the Series sees Fremantle at HBF Arena against Collingwood (Monday 4 March), as well as the Cats back at their home in GMHBA Stadium, facing Essendon (Thursday 7 March). Melbourne will also return to Casey Fields hosting Brisbane (Saturday 9 March), whilst Hawthorn head to Launceston against Richmond on the same day. Sunday 10 March will then see the Bulldogs back at Mars Stadium in Ballarat to host St Kilda, before a preseason Western Derby as West Coast face Freo in Mandurah.

If you can’t wait for the season proper to begin, then head to and snap up your JLT Community Series tickets now.
