Got tickets to the Formula 1 Rolex Australian GP 2023? Here’s everything you need to know about your *mobile* tickets
Are you ready for the fastest race on the motorsport calendar?
With the 2022 season officially over, Aussie F1 fans can begin to look forward to the 2023 Rolex Australian Grand Prix.
Now that the presale has started, the best of the rest (the Lando Norris’ of the world) are getting ready to purchase their tickets in the General Public onsale on Tuesday 29 November and Tuesday 6 December.
If you have managed to snap up tickets to the fastest race on the motorsport calendar, then here’s everything you need to know about your tickets!
All tickets are DIGITAL!
Firstly, all tickets purchased through Ticketmaster are digital*. This means you can easily access your tickets via the Ticketmaster app or mobile web browser via Ticketmaster.com.au, then add them straight to your phone’s ticket wallet and share them with your friends and family.
*excluding collector tickets
Just like Oscar Piastri’s Alpine contract, screenshotting is *over*
Let’s move into our McLaren era and stop screenshotting our tickets. Why? Because nobody wants to be waiting in line while the person in front of them scrolls endlessly through their photos to find a screenshot of their ticket that they took four months ago.
Be smarter than that and use the app instead because it allows you to easily forward tickets to your friends and family or anyone joining you at the GP.
Let’s look after the environment and not print our tickets
We all know, despite his retirement, that Sebastian Vettel would be proud of you for using a digital ticket instead of wasting paper by printing your tickets.
Luckily you can forward your tickets to your friends via the app, and you no longer need to print them. Mobile tickets are an environmentally friendly ticketing option, so you too can help save the bees.
So, how do I forward my tickets to other members of my party?
- Open the Ticketmaster App
- Tap on my events and select the event you want to Ticket Forward
- Tap ‘Forward’ below the ticket you want to share (please note: you may have to wait a moment for the ‘Forward’ button to load)
- On the ‘Select Tickets to Forward’ page, confirm the ticket you want to share (please note – you must Forward each ticket individually)
- Tap the ‘Forward To’ button. Tap ‘Manually Enter a Recipient’ & enter your friend’s ‘First Name’, ‘Last Name’, and ‘Email Address or Mobile Number’
- Tap ‘Forward Ticket’. The ticket in your account will now say “Sent”. You can cancel or recall the Ticket Forward at any time
- Your friend receives an email asking them to accept the forwarded tickets, and they can either log in or create a new Ticketmaster account to accept
- The tickets are now ready to go in your friend’s Ticketmaster account and marked as ‘Forwarded’ in your account
But what if I’ve spent too long watching Charles Leclerc Tik Toks and my phone is out of battery? How do I access my ticket(s)?
If you are concerned about your phone battery on the day of the event, we suggest purchasing the collector ticket option or waiting to spot Charles in person on the track instead of watching Tik Toks.
Alternatively, if your battery does run out of battery on the day, do not worry. The Ticketmaster support team located outside each gate will be able to print you a replacement ticket for the day.
Still a bit sceptical?
Much like Ferrari fans, every time the strategists make a decision, you might be a bit sceptical. However, there is nothing to be worried about because here’s what other fans have had to say about mobile tickets.
“Love mobile tickets! I have been using this for ages! Easy to share with friends. Save paper and ink. Don’t have to worry about forgetting my tickets!”
“Super convenient. I didn’t have to be the responsible one for making sure everyone got their tickets all printed out. The mobile tickets mean that everyone had their tickets delivered safely.”
