Need help keeping up with the best new tracks dropping every week? Ticketmaster's Fresh Scoop features our handpicked faves – we do the hard work, so you can sit back and enjoy.

RÜFÜS DU SOL – Treat You Better

The Sydney boys now live in Los Angeles, and you can definitely hear the seachange in Treat You Better. The uplifting opener from the band’s fresh album Solace was co-written with Foster The People frontman Mark Foster and brims with a dance-ready positivity. We can’t help but feel a whole lot lighter when the “choir” of friends kicks in. Our groovy boys are back. Catch them at Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Melbourne on Friday 15 February and Riverstage, Brisbane on Saturday 02 March. Tickets via ticketmaster.com.au.

MØ ft Empress Of – Red Wine

On this tasty cut from her new album Forever Neverland, Danish singer-songwriter MØ has teamed up with our favourite LA queen Empress Of – and let me tell you, we are here for it. The tropical beat will have you dancing to warmer climes and the hook will have you singing along in no time. Please pour the red wine, pronto!

Greta Van Fleet – You’re The One

So many huge albums to get your ears around this week, and Michigan rockers Greta Van Fleet have added another. You’re The One is taken from their debut album Anthem Of The Peaceful Army, and this stadium-ready ballad is one of our favourite cuts. It’s more laid back than what we’ve come to expect, taking influence from the likes of Bob Dylan and Joan Baez instead of Led Zeppelin, but we like it. Catch them at Eatons Hill Hotel, Queensland on Sunday 03 February and Forum, Melbourne on Tuesday 05 February. Tickets via ticketmaster.com.au.

Glades – Nervous Energy

The first track from their just-announced debut album (To Love You, out Friday 2 November) promises big things from the Sydney trio. It’s been three years in the making, and we are hoping for more huge, dance-ready numbers just like this one.

White Wash – Better

It’s impossible not to feel warm and fuzzy inside while listening to Better. It’s another sugary sweet, hook-filled moment from Australia’s most underrated overachiever.

Billie Eilish – when the party’s over

The latest tune from Billie Eilish is a heartbreaking slow-burner. Balancing minimalist production with her dreamy vocals, Billie Eilish is a masterclass in pop music. BYO tissues. Catch her live when she supports Florence + The Machine at Botanic Park, Adelaide on Wednesday 16 January and Mt Duneed Estate for a day on the green on Saturday 19 January. Tickets via ticketmaster.com.au.

Teischa – haunt me

LA-via-Fremantle musician Teischa doesn’t need much more than her vocal to get your attention, and the simple piano-led instrumental carries everything perfectly. It’s a darker sound than we’re used to, but the brooding setting suits her perfectly.

Jess Locke – My Body Is An Ecosystem

The last time we heard from Jess Locke she was releasing her excellent second album Universe. Now she’s back with the first taste of the future, and it’s in the form of dreamy, indie-pop floater My Body Is An Ecosystem. Carried by a bright guitar melody, this one gets deep.

Bring Me The Horizon – wonderful life

The second taste from their forthcoming album amo is here, and while Bring Me hinted that their sixth album wouldn’t be ‘heavy’, their team-up with Cradle Of Filth’s Dani Filth suggests otherwise. They’ve pushed the album release out two weeks, but we’re certain the wait will be worth it.

Lucianblomkamp & Life Is Better Blonde – Distractions

Taken from the third installment of his Sick of What I Don’t Understand series, Lucianblomkamp’s team-up with Life Is Better Blonde is another perfect pairing to add to his roster. His usual glitchy production pairs perfectly with the mystery producers smooth vocal, creating a standout track across the trilogy of releases.
