This Is Just A Tribute Festival debuts this April; audience to pick setlists

The choice is yours!

This Is Just A Tribute Festival – Australia’s first-ever family friendly outdoor festival featuring some of the world’s best tribute acts – is set to touch down in the picturesque surrounds of the Snowy Mountains’ Lake Jindabyne this Easter Long Weekend – and the festival wants you to help plan the music.

Taking place on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 April, iconic Australian artists will play homage to the world’s biggest band alongside a lineup of internationally acclaimed tribute acts, performing some of the greatest music released across the last four decades.

Leading the way will be Australian Rock Collective (ARC), who will bring their critically-acclaimed celebration of The Beatles‘ songbook to the festival. Featuring Kram (Spiderbait), Mark Wilson (Jet), Davey Lane (You Am I) and Darren Middleton (Powderfinger), this is a true supergroup of Australian proportions, and the best part is – they are also huge The Beatles’ fans.

They’ll be joined by Killer Queen (paying tribute to Queen), Achtung Baby (paying tribute to U2), Live Baby Live! (paying tribute to INXS), Running In The Shadows Of Fleetwood Mac (paying tribute to Fleetwood Mac), FABBA (paying tribute to ABBA), NOASIS (paying tribute to Oasis), The Bowie Unzipped Band (paying tribute to David Bowie), The Crowdies (paying tribute to Crowded House) and The Australian Pearl Jam Show (paying tribute to Pearl Jam).

Not only is the concept of This Is Just A Tribute Festival an Australian first, but this is also the first time a music festival has every put so much power in your hands – that’s right, you get to choose which iconic songs from across all these incredible songbooks each band will perform.

Like the earlier releases better than the new albums? Put yours votes in. Want to hear a deep cut that has a lot of meaning to you? You better put it on the list. Want to hear huge bangers only? The choice is yours.

Choose your top ten tracks for each artist and help curate the ultimate festival songbook. The bands will play the songs you vote for, so choose carefully.

This Is Just A Tribute Festival has been created so multiple of generations of music fans can enjoy some of music’s greatest artists – with an emphasis on fun!

Come along and dance, throw your arms in the air and sing along to songs you know and cherish. Pay your respects to the band, the era and the tracks you’ve grown up with (or seen on Youtube!), whilst dressed up in your best vintage rock attire, at a purpose-built festival stage on the shore of Lake Jindabyne, in the beautiful Snowy Mountains.
