Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever announce 2021 Australia tour

Alexa, play 'Cars In Space' on repeat.

Following the release of their second album Sideways To New Italy in June, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever have announced a run of Australian tour dates for April and May 2021.

The guitar-pop five-piece will be taking over some of Australia’s favourite stages in their biggest headline performances to date.

“This is happening! After a dirty year, we’re throwing these ones on the boot with love and hope. Fortunate to be joined by the country’s finest,” Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever says.

“As J. Strummer once said, the future is unwritten. We’re going to do everything in our power to make these shows happen as planned. We acknowledge these shows take place on Aboriginal land and pay our respects to elders past and present. See you in 2021, we’ve missed you.”

They aren’t joking about being joined by the country’s finest either, because the support list for each and every show on this tour is worth at least five flame emojis.

Three-piece experiential rock group Blank Realm and post-punk solo artist RINSE are set to open the show in Brisbane. Joining the band in Fremantle is R&B, Afrobeat singer-songwriter Adrian Dzvuke and garage-folk soloist Nika Mo, followed by queer-pop queen Elizabeth and post-punk outfit Pinch Points in Melbourne and supporting the band in Canberra will be pop-rock soloist Hayley Mary and bedroom pop project Solo Career.

Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever – 'Falling Thunder' Feat. Laura Jean (Isolation Version)

Featuring fan favourites like ‘Cars In Space’, ‘She’s There’, and ‘Falling Thunder’, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever’s second album Sideways To New Italy was a mighty follow up from 2018’s Hope Downs. Debuting at #4 on the ARIA Album Chart and masterfully continuing the brand of guitar pop they’ve made their own.

While we haven’t stopped playing Sideways To New Italy on repeat, it’s the live stage where Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever truly shines, and in 2021 they’ll be returning to venues near you – and we absolutely can’t wait.

Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever will take their second album Sideways To New Italy around Australia in April and May 2021. Tickets go on sale Thursday 10 December @ 10am local time via Ticketmaster.com.au.
