To get you in the mood for the three-day festival, we caught up with Jason Singh to find out more about what you can expect from the Motor City Music Festival.
Ticketmaster: What will make the Motor City Music Festival so unique and special?
Jason Singh: To have such different artists playing, and from the Geelong region, over 3 days really makes it special. Also it’s very family friendly and my kids love it
TM: What can the audience expect from your performance at Motor City Music Festival?
JS: It will be different from last year. We’re playing more acoustically so has a real festival vibe about it.
TM: The Festival celebrates Geelong’s proud automotive history. What was your first car?
JS: My first car was a Commodore VH. It was stolen on Friday the 13th and I was gutted.
TM: There are so many fantastic performers scheduled to appear at Motor City. Which one are you most excited to see perform?
JS: My friend’s band Electric Mary is playing on the Friday. They’re one of the best rock bands in the country.
TM: If money was no object, what car would you buy?
JS: The Bat Mobile.
TM: If you could perform with any other musician in the world, who would you choose?
JS: Prince.
TM: We hear there will be free carnival rides all weekend at Motor City. What is your favourite old-school carnival ride?
JS: I used to love the Zipper.
TM: What is the best thing about performing at music festivals?
JS: You get to play to a whole bunch of people that usually wouldn’t come to see you in a bar or pub and you can win new fans that way.
