Byron Bay Bluesfest does it again!
As if the line-up for Byron Bay Bluesfest 2015 wasn’t already spectacular enough, the blues and roots festival has outdone itself announcing Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals as the headline act of its second artist announcement.
While Ben Harper has been a Bluesfest regular since his debut there in 1996, the 2015 event will see him reunite with his original backing group The Innocent Criminals, in something of a coup for the organisers of the 5-day festival. Harper is credited as one of the first surfy-blues artists, which makes him an ideal fit for Bluesfest.
Alongside Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals in the second artist announcement is David Gray, the Counting Crows, Ben Howard, Paolo Nutini and Queensland act Sheppard. They join an already-incredible list of acts including the Black Keys, Train, Paul Kelly, Zac Brown Band, Michael Franti and Spearhead and George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic.
Amazingly, the list of performers is still not complete. The Byron Bay Bluesfest will add even more incredible blues, roots and folk artists to the line-up in the not too distant future.
Bluesfest has developed a reputation for bringing incredible acts to Byron Bay for the event, which will take place between April 2 and 6, 2015, as well as a host of sideshows around the country.
In addition to the amazing performers, the Byron Bay Bluesfest is renowned for the incredible, natural setting at Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm, which is about 11km north of Byron Bay. The site is a working tea tree farm and is transformed across the Easter long weekend for the Byron Bay Bluesfest each year. Attendees may also be lucky enough to spot precious Australian wildlife such as the koalas that are local residents of the farm.
A range of ticket packages are still available as well as accommodation options. There’s a range of flexible options for attending the Byron Bay Bluesfest, including single day tickets, 3-day packages and 5-day packages, which means there is something for everyone.
