There’s rugby union, AFL, ice hockey, and even State of Origin to choose from.
Let’s do a quick run around the country to see what is happening in sport this weekend.
It’s the last of the three bye rounds in the AFL this week, as St Kilda host Brisbane Lions in the twilight Saturday timeslot at Marvel Stadium on Saturday 22 June from 4.35pm.
Brisbane are clutching desperately to maintain their top eight position and will know they must win away from home to keep finals as a genuine possibility.
St Kilda are in a similar boat, sitting just a game outside the eight, and a win will go a long way to lifting their credentials. They’re further boosted by ex-Sydney superstar Daniel Hannebery finally named to take the field in his St Kilda debut this weekend.
In ice hockey action, the Melbourne derby is back this weekend as Melbourne Ice and Melbourne Mustangs do battle at O’Brien Icehouse.
Check out the first snippet of when we sent a man with no experience on the ice deep into the Melbourne Ice camp to take part in a training session.
See the two Melbourne heavyweights go head to head this Saturday 22 June at 4pm.
O’Brien Icehouse will be packed this Saturday afternoon
Heading to Sunday 23 June’s action, the Western Bulldogs host a red hot Collingwood outfit at Marvel Stadium at 3.20pm.
It’ll be the Pies first game without star forward Jaidyn Stephenson since his debut, while the Dogs lose gun midfielder Tom Liberatore to a knee injury. Are the Dogs any chance to cause a massive upset on home turf? We’ll soon see.
First up is the Western Force taking on Fijian Latui tonight at HBF Park, in the battle for the Pacific Showcase crown. The action starts at 7.40pm tonight, but make sure you’re there early to see Joe Camilleri and The Black Sorrows performing their classic hits to kick the night off. You can even find tickets for just $10.15* right here.
In more rugby action, this time league, Game II of the State of Origin will take place at Optus Stadium this Sunday (23 June) evening. Very limited tickets are still available, so snap up yours quickly.
