The Motorists Concours d’Elegance to bring automobile history to Victoria in 2022

In a world first, The Motorists Concours d’Elegance is set to present the finest automobiles in history alongside a collection of the world’s finest contemporary art this April.

Talk to any classic car lover, and they talk to you about the art that goes into the bodies of their favourite cars – from sleek lines to unique curves, there is an art to the history of the seemingly humble vehicle.

Some might even say, a sculpture in motion – so that’s why this meeting of two artistic worlds makes so much sense.

Taking place on the weekend before the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix, The Motorists Concours d’Elegance will allow enthusiasts and casual observers to truly experience the aesthetic of the automobile, with up to 100 of the finest examples of concours and preservation-state cars of all types on display.

This country is home to some of the most fastidious car collectors in the world and we are delighted that so many of them have agreed to show them – some for the very first time. Visitors will get to see some remarkable vehicles ranging from the brass era in the early 1900s right through to modern supercars.

Set in the breathtaking grounds of Pt. Leo Estate’s famous Sculpture Park the location alone will easily rival that of the most celebrated international automobile shows held each year.

With 135 hectares of manicured landscaping celebrating many of the most significant and respected sculptors from Australia and the globe, the estate is known and celebrated around the world

The instant I stepped into the sculpture park I just knew we had to hold a Concours D’Elegance there. Having been to some of the best concours around the world I’m sure we can hold a place amongst them in this setting.

As well as getting to experience unmatched automotive excellence paired with world-class art, all guests to The Motorists Concours d’Elegance at Pt. Leo Estate will have access to The Restaurant Village, a unique casual outdoor dining experience for general admission spectators.
