New supports confirmed for A Day To Remember tour

New supports have just been confirmed for A Day To Remember‘s upcoming Oz shows following Of Mice & Men’s exit from the tour.

Following some major health setbacks for Of Mice & Men frontman Austin Carlile, the Orange Country metallers have been forced to pull out of next month’s support slot.

In an official statement, the band say they took every measure possible to continue touring, but in the end health had to be put first “to ensure the longevity of Austin and the band”.

“Due to Austin’s ongoing recovery from recent surgeries, Of Mice & Men are saddened to announce that they will no longer be able to join A Day To Remember on their Australian tour,” they say.

“The band appreciates your understanding and support of Austin’s daily struggle with his chronic illness, and we want our fans to know that he is taking the time and measures needed to recover from his extensive hospital stay. We hope to see you all soon.”

In a heartfelt tweet, Austin added, “For our Australian fans: My hear breaks I can’t be there because of my body.”

We’re wishing Austin a speedy recovery!

Taking up support duty in their place will be Atlanta metalcore mob Issues, whose upcoming appearance with ADTR will now be their first visit down under since supporting The Amity Affliction back in 2014.

If that wasn’t enough, they’ll be joined by Aussie rockers Tonight Alive.
