Live: Adele conquers Aus with stunning Melbourne show

“I came and I like to think I conquered,” Adele said to a record-breaking number of fans at Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium last night.

The British songstress was on stage for the final Australian show on her first tour down under, ahead of a stint in New Zealand.

True to form, the world renowned artist was full of life and laughs in between songs as she swatted away bugs, burned under the heat and gave her Australian fans all she had.

Adele was even left speechless when a surprise proposal took place on stage. After inviting a devoted fan up to join her, his partner followed to get engaged in front of thousands!

The 28-year-old singer from Tottenham, London soared through a seamless setlist of big hits, conducting huge crowd sing-alongs with much-loved songs like Hello, Rumour Has It, Skyfall, Chasing Pavements, Hometown Glory, Rolling In The Deep and Someone Like You.

“I won’t be back soon but I will be back,” Adele told adoring fans at Etihad, adding that she was the ‘happiest she’s ever been’ in her personal life and how that’s impacted her positive touring experience.
