Future Music Festival announces huge line-up

The line-up for the 2015 Future Music Festival has landed and it is even bigger and better than we hoped!

Canadian rap and R&B superstar Drake will headline the festival alongside one of the world’s leading DJs, Avicii, and techno-rock group The Prodigy. The big three will also be joined by a host of international and local artists, making this year’s Future Music Festival line-ups one of the best yet.

Drake will make his first appearance in Australia as he headlines Future Music Festival in Sydney on Saturday February 28, Perth on Sunday March 1, Brisbane on Saturday March 7, Melbourne on Sunday March 8 and Adelaide on Monday March 9.

Landing Drake is a major coup for the festival, particularly given it will be the artist’s first performances in Australia. For most, it will be their first chance to see Drake live, which adds to the excitement of Future Music Festival.

Drake has enjoyed major success throughout the USA and holds the record for the most Number 1 singles on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop chart, with hits including Hold On, We’re Going Home, Forever and Headlines.

Avicii needs no introduction. His amazing dance tracks have taken the world by storm, while the Prodigy is a Future Music Festival favourite, having appeared at the 10-hour festival twice before, in 2010 and 2013.

Other huge names added to the Future Music Festival line-up include Afrojack, Martin Garrix, Nero, Example and Die Antwoord. The full list is below – check it out, it is impressive!

Swedish DJ Avicii and Dutch artist Afrojack will headline the new dance stage. The pair are regularly named in lists of the top 10 DJs in the world, which will make the new dance stage a must-see for genuine lovers of dance music.

Amazingly, the long list of artists is set to get even more impressive with a second post-Christmas announcement to be made. Future Music Festival has a long history of announcing incredible acts in the second announcement – who could forget the addition of Pharrell Williams to last year’s bill? – so watch this space.

In other great news for punters, the first release ticket price is cheaper than 2014. As always, Future Music Festival offers a range of ticket options including VIP packages such as the First Class package and Sunset Club package.

Future Music, Frontier Touring and Nova pre-sale tickets are on sale from 12pm October 28, with the My Ticketmaster pre-sale commencing at 12pm October 29. General public tickets are on sale from 12pm October 30. Click here for tickets and further information.
