Blondie and Cyndi Lauper are heading out on tour together
This is not a drill. Blondie and Cyndi Lauper will be touring Australia together in 2017, for what will be a world first.
The co-headline tour will see the iconic twosome share top billing across a run of huge shows.
“Blondie were the true trailblazers of the New York City new wave and punk scenes,” said Lauper. “As a young artist, they had such a big impact on me. I just thought that Debbie was so cool. She is still a hero of mine.
“I’m so excited to do this tour of Australia with them. We are going to have a blast.”
With Debbie Harry adding, “You can’t miss this show. The b**ches are coming back to make it happen in Australia just like they do it everywhere.
“All the songs and music you want to hear from us and much much more.”
The double bill will form the headline act for A Day on the Green 2017, touring through New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia.
