Take a look inside Melbourne’s immersive playground Imaginaria

Let the fun begin!

Journey to the heart of Melbourne and you’ll be welcomed into an immersive world where imagination and technology collide thanks to Imaginaria.

Before you journey out to the Docklands, take a look inside the incredible, immersive playground.

The walk-through installation – designed for kids and adults of any age – will feel like entering an entirely new dimension. The audiovisual play experience has been created to delight all the senses.

Step inside The Imaginarium’s Portal (find it below the Melbourne Star) and you’ll slide and climb your way through dreamlike landscapes of shimmering light sculptures, multi-dimensional mazes, architectural inflatables, and even a black hole.

Founded by Melbourne-based creatives Nick and Lucy Ennis – AKA Loose Collective – and brought to life by fashion designers, architects, musicians, audiovisual artists, sculptors, stunt men, circus stars and more, this multi-sensory delight is exactly what we need right now.

Created for young and young at heart alike, there is magic and wonder ready to be explored around every corner.

  • Feel time slow down as you play with echoing light and sound installations
  • Find your way through a spectacular light projection maze
  • Be enveloped by a giant inflatable bubble of light and sound
  • Walk the high beam of a NASA-inspired blackhole simulator
  • Find out the mysteries of the universe thanks to a talking Artificial Intelligence projection
  • And that’s only the beginning…

Your Imaginaria experience begins as soon as you step through The Imaginarium Portal…

Make your way through a sea of magical light vines…

Don’t miss the inflatable jumping castle…

Of course, even your rest stops are filled with rainbows

The smoke-filled light maze is the perfect place to get lost for a while…

Every odyssey adventure needs a magical tunnel…

And a blackhole vortex…

It’s all waiting for you inside Imaginaria
