The Russian National Ballet set to hit the stage in Australia

The Russian National Ballet Theatre is bringing two of the most beautiful and popular ballets to Australia.

The renowned ballet company will present Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake at Sydney’s Big Top Luna Park on October 27 and Melbourne’s Regent Theatre on December 6. The company will also be performing Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty at The State Theatre Sydney from October 9-11, at Big Top Luna Park (Sydney) on October 28 and at the Regent Theatre in Melbourne on December 4 and 5.

The full length productions will leave you mesmerised as the Russian National Ballet brings to life two incredible ballets, which both feature spectacular costumes and faultless, traditional dancing from the company’s premier ballerinas.

The music of Tchaikovsky is instantly recognisable and brings to life the dramatic storylines of the two ballets. Swan Lake recounts the story of Odette/Odile and the battle between the good and bad through the white swan and black swan.

Swan Lake is perhaps the most iconic ballet of all time. The haunting composition and timeless storyline are known throughout the world and the production is one of the most popular ballets in history.

The Russian National Ballet Theatre will also be performing the enduring classis, Sleeping Beauty.

Sleeping Beauty has become the cornerstone of the Russian National Ballet. The popular fairy tale is brought to life on stage and is full of glamour, romance, love and magic. Most people are already very familiar with the tale of Princess Aurora and the evil curse that sends her to sleep, but seeing the story come to life through ballet will give people a new appreciation of the tale.

The Russian National Ballet will perform the two stunning ballets in multiple cities in Australia and New Zealand as part of their upcoming tour. The tour on our shores follows massive runs in other parts of the world, including the USA, China, Spain, Italy, France, Guatemala and South Korea.

The ballet company’s performances of Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake are helmed by Artistic Director, Evgeny Amosov, who has years of experience and is recognised as one of Russia’s most talented ballet professionals.

Ballet lovers will know there is nothing as spectacular as seeing some of the world’s finest ballerinas performing the world’s most stunning productions. The tutus and point shoes of an iconic and traditional ballet are unsurpassed.
