Vivid Sydney lights up Taronga Zoo

Lights for the Wild returns to Taronga Zoo, Sydney.

Opening last Friday 24 May, the Lights for the Wild show will run until 15 June at Taronga Zoo.

Part of Vivid Sydney, experience a dazzling light and moving animal projection show. It all begins at Taronga’s iconic main entrance.

As you walk through the trails of the Zoo, you will follow illuminated paths weaving through the grounds, with stunning giant animal light sculptures astounding visitors along the way.

You will run into the mesmerising Sumatran tiger, a beautiful marine turtle, the hectic swarm of busy bees and even the colossal family of gorillas, plus a whole host of other amazing animals, lighting up the night.

You can even witness a multi-award-winning short film in the Taronga Centenary Theatre.

In 2019, the feature showcase tells a captivating tale about animal conservation, where wild species remain wild as balance is restored.

The adventure will run from Wednesday to Sunday (from 24 May – 15 June), including the June 10 public holiday.

Two session times are available, with the first from 5:30pm-7:30pm, and the second from 7:30pm-9:30pm. Children under four go free.
