Fashion fans need to see the Ladies In Black musical

Ladies In Black is the Australian musical that’s proving to be a total treat for fashion fans as much as theatre-goers.

Set in Sydney in 1959, Ladies In Black presents a city compromised with repression of the ’50s and liberation of ’60s. With that comes heaps of gorgeous frocks and a colour palette to swoon over.

Throughout the musical, we follow Lisa (Sarah Morrison) as she discovers the vibrant world of prestigious department store, F.G. Goodes.

The iconic ’60s skirt is the show’s staple style, worn in an array of bright colour box shades of pinks, purples, yellows and greens.

Accessory fiends will also enjoy the detail of the ensemble’s silky gloves, wide-brimmed hats and heels.

Elsewhere, Ladies In Black gives us a fierce lesson in workwear with the F.G. Goodes gang strutting across the sleek stage in all-black tailoring.
