Everything you need to know about The Book of Mormon $40 ticket lottery

The Book of Mormon has just announced details of a ticket lottery, in which a limited number of tickets will be sold by ballot for $40 each on the day of the performance.

The production is currently in previews at the Princess Theatre with opening night this Saturday (4 Feb).

A limited number of tickets for each performance will be sold through the lottery, beginning on Tuesday 7 February. Entries will be accepted only at the box office beginning two and a half hours prior to each performance; each person will print their name and the number of tickets (1 or 2) they wish to purchase on a form that is provided.

Two hours before curtain, names will be drawn at random for a limited number of tickets priced at $40 each. Only one entry is allowed per person. Cards are checked for duplication prior to drawing. Winners must be present at the time of the drawing and show valid ID to purchase tickets. Limit one entry per person and one or two tickets per winner. Tickets are subject to availability.

Since making its world premiere in March 2011 at New York’s Eugene O’Neill Theater, The Book of Mormon has played 253 consecutive weeks at more than 100% capacity on Broadway, 170 weeks at more than 100% capacity at theatres around the US, and sold out every single one of its 1225 performances thus far in London’s West End.

The Book of Mormon has a 5-star review rating on Ticketmaster Australia since opening for previews at Melbourne’s Princess Theatre.
