Billionaire Boy follows the story of 12-year-old Joe, who has everything a boy could ever want, with more money than you could imagine. But, Joe is about to learn that money can’t buy you everything.

There are a billion reasons to see Billionaire Boy at the Arts Centre Melbourne next month.
We know time is precious, so here are the eight most magical reasons why this is the must-see show for kids (and bigger kids) next month.

1.    David Walliams is an actual legend

Billionaire Boy brings to life onstage the best-selling book from English star David Walliams. Best known for his work on Little Britain and Come Fly With Me, Walliams was also a judge on Britain’s Got Talent, and is now a children’s book writer as well. He has been described as “the fastest growing children’s author in the UK”, and his literary style has been compared to that of Roald Dahl – big shoes, we know. One of Britain’s favourite TV personalities, Walliams is widely loved the world over.

2   It’s the perfect school holidays activity

Playing from Saturday 6 April until Sunday 14 April in Melbourne, Billionaire Boy is the perfect school holidays activity for the kids. Aimed at kids aged 6-12, performances line-up with primary school holidays, and giving you an extra way to get the kids out of the house and keep them entertained these Autumn holidays.

3.   There are a billion lessons to be learnt

The musical will spark important conversations as it teaches children many valuable lessons. From the importance of friendship and a loving family, to the impact of bullying, there’s so many takeaways for both children and their parents.

4.       Money can’t buy happiness

The central story in the musical is that Billionaire Boy Joe Spud has all the material things he could ever want, but he’s miserable. The central plot line shows kids the importance of so many things in life beyond how much money you have, and that happiness is not just about the ‘things’ we can buy.

5.       See someone get a wedgie live on stage

Need we say more? You know the kids will be cracking up over this one.

6.       Proven winners

The team behind the Billionaire Boy musical-stage adaptation have previous runs on the board, bringing to life hits such as Mr Stink and The 13-, 26-, 52- and 78-Storey Treehouses. Roaring successes in their own right, these previous winners only highlight just how good Billionaire Boy is set to be.

7.       Affordable

Starting at just $30.20*, this one is an absolute bargain.
