The best basketballers on the planet will be on display when the 2018/19 NBA season launches in just a few days. But, imagine seeing it up close and personal on Australian soil.
The USA Basketball men’s national side will be doing just that next August, as they arrive to do battle with our very own Boomers.
In two crunch clashes at Marvel Stadium, basketball royalty will fight it out in preparation for the 2019 FIBA World Cup in China.
The NBA kicks off this Wednesday. See Ben Simmons’ Philadelphia 76ers do battle with Kyrie Irving and Aussie Aron Baynes’ Boston Celtics in the opening game of the season. Back it up just hours later with Steph Curry’s Golden State Warriors taking on Russell Westbrook’s OKC.

Who will take out the coveted Championship this season? Can Curry lead the Warriors to three in a row, or will Kyrie’s Celtics knock them off? Can Ben Simmons lead the 76ers to glory, or will LeBron’s impact as he arrives at the Lakers be great enough?
Exactly who will be arriving Down Under next year we still don’t know, but we’re sure it will be a whole host of elite talent gracing Marvel Stadium. The games will take place at 7:30pm on Thursday 22 August, followed by a 2pm clash on the Saturday 24 August.
