Our guide to prepping for the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix 2022

Heading to the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix this weekend? Here’s everything you need to do to get prepared!

Whether you are a Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix veteran returning to the circuit for the 20th year or this is your first time seeing F1 cars up close – there are some things you can do before even leaving the house to make sure your day begins as smoothly as possible.

Save your tickets to your phone wallet ahead of time

Your most important item for the day is your tickets, so you want to make sure you have those sorted before you even leave the house.

Top tip: To avoid any delays at the gate and to ensure you get into Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit as quickly as possible, take the time to log into your Ticketmaster account now and save your tickets to your mobile phone wallet.

That way, as soon as you walk up to the Albert Park gate, you’ve already got your tickets in your hand.

Not sure how to save your tickets to your phone wallet?

  1. Open the Ticketmaster App and log in to your account – checking that your account password hasn’t expired
  2. Tap ‘My Events’ in the app menu
  3. Select your Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix order
  4. Tap ‘Save to Phone’ or ‘Save to Apple Wallet’ – now your ticket is saved directly to your phone, and will be easy to access on the day.

Prepare your group using Ticket Forward

Ensure every adult in your group has their own ticket saved to their own phone wallet – that way, no matter what time they arrive everyone can enter the venue quickly and easily.

Ticket Forwarding is free and allows you to quickly and securely share individual digital tickets with your family or friends via the Ticketmaster App or Ticketmaster.com.au.

They will need their own Ticketmaster account – so before you forward, get them to create one now, and if they already have one, make sure they log in, check that their password hasn’t expired, and update their account information.

Please note: Ticketmaster will regularly ask you to update your password to ensure the security of your account – you don’t want to get stuck having to change your password while trying to access your tickets at the gate. Get that step sorted now!

Once you’ve forwarded the tickets on, ensure your group members also save their Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix tickets to their phone to avoid delays at the gate.

We want to make sure your entry to the venue is as smooth as possible, so make sure your contact details are up to date in your My Ticketmaster account, because on event day you will receive a handy SMS from Ticketmaster***

***Please note: The SMS will come from “Ticket Info” – this is the official Ticketmaster SMS account.
