The NRL is returning to Perth

Two NRL fixtures set to be played at HBF Park in 2020.

Two massive NRL home and away season clashes are set to be held in Perth in 2020.

This comes after the announcement of the NRL’s preseason tournament, NRL Nines, being held at the same venue over the weekend of 14-15 February, seeing all 16 clubs arrive in Perth.

HBF Park will first host the Round 11 clash between the Sydney Roosters and Canberra Raiders on Saturday 23 May.

The Grand Final replay is a massive coup for Perth, with two of the competition’s powerhouses ready to battle it out once again.

The match will mark the first time the two face off since the 2019 NRL Grand Final, in which the Sydney Roosters took out a 14-8 win and in turn back-to-back Premierships.

Hoping for a three-peat in 2020, the Roosters go into the upcoming NRL season as the red-hot favourites, with the Raiders certainly fancying their own chances.

The match will begin at 5:35pm local time, with a packed crowd expected.

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs will then host Melbourne Storm at HBF Park in the Round 18 game on Saturday 18 July, also beginning at 5:35pm local time in Perth.

Another serious contender in 2020, the Melbourne Storm will be hoping to go one better after falling to the Roosters in the Preliminary Final, despite finishing top of the ladder in 2019.

With two massive games heading to Perth in 2020, including three of the 2019 top four sides, you can be sure tickets will sell quickly.

Tickets are available for both games now at, including a two-game pass.
