The Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix will again be held at the Phillip Island Circuit in 2018, this year running from Friday 26 October through until Sunday 28 October.

Marc Marquez took out the annual race last year, as well as finishing on top of the 2017 riders’ standings. Marquez currently leads the 2018 riders’ standings ahead of Valentino Rossi. Aussie Jack Miller is sitting in 9th place.

The Italian Grand Prix took place last Sunday (3 June) as Jorge Lorenzo took out his first Moto GP for two years. Miller suffered his first ‘Did Not Finish’ of the year as he crashed out on the second lap of the race. The next race on the calendar sees the riders head to Spain for the Catalan Grand Prix in Barcelona.

Miller said of his unfortunate outing in Italy that he was very disappointed: “The feeling was always very positive throughout the weekend and I think we made the right choice with the medium rear tyre.

“I think I could have competed well, but that didn’t happen this time. I have learnt a lesson. It will be different in Barcelona.”

Grandstand and General Admission tickets for the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix are now available to be purchased for single, two or three days at Ticketmaster.com.au
