Manchester United, one of the world’s most esteemed football clubs, will arrive in Australia next year for two huge clashes.

The Red Devils are set to battle fellow English club and former Premier League giants Leeds United, as well as our own Perth Glory at Optus Stadium. Head here to join the pre-sale list now before tickets go on sale to the general public. Tickets will go on sale on Thursday 29 November, at 10am (AWST).

United will take on the A-League’s very own Perth Glory on Saturday 13 July at Optus Stadium, just one day after the AFL Grand Final replay between West Coast and Collingwood at the same venue. They will then go head to head with rivals Leeds United on Wednesday 17 July.

The Premier League’s most successful club (13 titles), will see several of the world’s best players in our own backyard, with current Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho also one of the most successful in football history. While we can only speculate as to which players will arrive, it’s sure to be an elite squad. With names such as World Cup winner Paul Pogba, David De Gea, Romelu Lukaku and Anthony Martial plying their trade for United, there is an abundance of talent to ensure the side on the park Down Under will be world class.

Previously a very big player in the top flight of English football, Leeds are now looking for promotion back to the Premier League this season (currently 3rd in the Championship). Leeds has seen the likes of Australian legends Harry Kewell and Mark Viduka represent the club in the past, and there is a very strong rivalry with Manchester United still very much alive. The two Northern English clubs are sure to put on an intense and fiery affair, having not met since the League Cup in 2011.

Perth Glory appear to be strong Championship contenders this 2018/19 season with several Socceroos joining the side this year, as well as Championship winning manager Tony Popovic.

The two clashes will take place at Perth’s Optus Stadium, the new pinnacle in Australian stadiums. The 60,000 capacity stadium is sure to be full and buzzing for both matches, with fans expected to travel from across the country to see arguably the most supported football club in the world in action.

The matches will take place as part of Manchester United and Leeds United’s preparation for the 2019/20 season.
