The JLT Community Series will form the basis of all 18 AFL sides preseason practice matches for 2019 in the lead-up to the season proper.

Starting tomorrow, each side will have the chance to play two matches in the series as preparation for the 2019 Toyota AFL Premiership season. The Series will take footy to communities across Australia, visiting rural grounds that wouldn’t otherwise host AFL footy. It is the perfect chance for clubs to engage their supporters throughout the wider community.

For fans, it provides the first chance to see their club’s draftees and new recruits on display for the first time, after a grueling preseason. The first match of the Series will be held at the home of the AFLW, with Carlton to host arch-rivals Essendon at Ikon Park tonight, Thursday 28 February.
