Hawthorn’s second home, UTAS Stadium in Launceston, will host its first match of the year this weekend.

Hawthorn will host Carlton at UTAS on Sunday afternoon, starting at 3:20pm. It’s the first of four matches the Hawks will bring to Launceston in 2019.

The remaining matches that Tassie based Hawthorn fans will be treated to this season are against Port Adelaide (25 May), Fremantle (13 July) and Brisbane (27 July).

The Hawks will be looking to bounce back this week after a disappointing two weeks, losing to St Kilda and Geelong. Granted, these two losses came against the now top two on the ladder.

Despite this, Hawthorn will need a strong showing against a boisterous Carlton outfit who will be fit and firing off the back of their first win.

Both sides currently sit outside the top eight, but a Hawthorn win could propel them back inside, with currently nine teams sitting on three wins for the season (Hawthorn are 2-3).
