Cold Chisel will headline Adelaide 500‘s Friday night ‘Made in SA’ concert, it’s just been confirmed.

With Jimmy Barnes at the helm, Cold Chisel will help kick off the celebrations for Adelaide 500’s 20th anniversary year.

The Aussie heroes have also hand-picked an all-South Australian lineup to support them, choosing Kasey Chambers and Bad/Dreems to complete the bill. Two local SA openers will also perform on the night.

Cold Chisel join fellow headliner Robbie Williams, who will be performing on the Sunday night to close Adelaide 500. A Saturday headliner is still to be announced.

Fans will turn out to see Adelaide 500 mark 20 years as Australia’s most-respected motorsport event, with new racing attractions also unveiled today.

In 2018, fans can look forward to two new racing attractions, the Audi R8 LMS Cup Series and the highly-anticipated ECB SuperUtes Series, with both categories set to make their Australian racing debut at the Adelaide Street Circuit.

The Audi R8 LMS Cup is the world’s only one-make GT3 racing series. With a field of more than 20 identical Audi R8 LMS GT3 race cars, fans can expect wheel-to-wheel racing of the highest order.

Meanwhile, the highly-anticipated ECB SuperUtes Series represents a new automotive segment on-track and will feature the Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger, Mitsubishi Triton, Nissan Navara, Holden Colorado and Mazda BT-50 production models upgraded for a racing spectacle.

These thrilling additions join the Virgin Australia Supercars on track, supported by the Super2 Development Series, Porsche Carrera Cup, Touring Car Masters, the Stadium Super Trucks and Improved Production Racing Cars.

Epic.
