Forum Melbourne: Australia’s first digital-only venue

Iconic Melbourne venue, Forum Melbourne, is going completely paperless – making it Ticketmaster Australia’s first digital-only ticketed venue.

Partnering with the Marriner Group, one of Australia’s leading venue operators, Ticketmaster have implemented Mobile Delivery as the only delivery option available for the 2,000-capacity live music venue.

Forum Melbourne will be the first venue in Australia to switch towards a fully mobile ticketing service which will transform the fan experience and simplify the ticketing process from start to finish.

You, the fans, have been asking us to make it easier and more secure to get access to the shows you love, and replacing paper and print-at-home tickets is the next way we are doing that. Not only will this move reduce waste, but it will also cut down queues and speed up entry into the venue. For example, tickets are delivered straight to your mobile and can easily be transferred to a friend using your online Ticketmaster account.

As well as creating a more personalised experience for the fan, digital ticketing also paves the way for increased security, decreased fraud, and unlocked value from customer relationships.

Getting the technology live across all shows at the iconic Forum Melbourne is a huge milestone in this journey making fans lives easier.”

The launch of digital tickets at Forum Melbourne follows a successful rollout of digital tickets for the Harry Potter And The Cursed Child theatre shows at Marriner Group’s Princess Theatre in Melbourne.
