Vivid Sydney’s 2018 schedule has just dropped and it features Grammy Award-winner, St. Vincent, among other huge music acts.

Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, St. Vincent (real name Annie Clark), who hails from Oklahoma, will play a one-night-only performance at Carriageworks on Sunday 17 June.

Orange Is The New Black‘s Big Boo, Lea Delaria, will also be live in concert at City Recital Hall. The venue also welcomes Grammy-winning jazz vocalist Kurt Elling, American jazz and blues singer-songwriter Madeleine Peyroux, among other live performances.

As well as inspiring musicians, Vivid Ideas has created a wider event schedule to stimulate creative, science and technology discussions.

Highlights include a ‘Game Changers and Creative Catalysts’ event with film-maker, marine explorer and conservationist James Cameron, who will be deep diving into his scientific endeavours and artistic enterprise.

Elsewhere, audiences can gamify real life and examine the consequences of AI when Jane McGonigal meets Kriti Sharma at City Recital Hall.

Founder of Mambo Clothing, Phantom Records and Deus ex Machina, Dare Jennings also joins James Valentine for another ‘Game Changers and Creative Catalysts’ session to discuss future-sharing scenarios, cult brands and the perks of ditching the rule book.
