Vance Joy announces 2022 outdoor Australian tour
Is there anything better than relaxing in the sunshine with your mate Vance Joy?
Multi award-winning Australian singer-songwriter Vance Joy is ready to hit the road like never before – taking over outdoor venues around the country in 2022.
The ‘Long Way Home’ tour will see Vance Joy take over venues in regional towns and major cities from September to November with his full band in tow.
Joining the hitmaker on stages in Darwin, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Canberra, Newcastle, Gippsland, Hobart, Adelaide, Busselton, and Sydney are some very special guests – including The Rubens, Thelma Plum, Middle Kids, Budjerah, and Mia Wray.

I’ve been talking about doing a tour like this one for years, so it’s incredibly exciting that it’s becoming a reality. I love touring in Australia and can’t wait to really explore the country on this extended tour, playing not just the cities but also the regional areas too…It’s been way too long since I’ve been on tour in Australia so I cannot wait to re-connect with everyone again and play some new songs as well as the favourites.

The tour announcement comes off the back of Vance Joy’s whopping five ARIA Award nominations, including Best Artist, Best Pop Release for ‘Missing Piece’, and Song of the Year.
Vance Joy has had two number one albums – 2014’s Dream Your Life Away and 2018’s Nation of Two. He’s won two ARIA awards and ten of his songs are now ARIA-certified platinum or multi-platinum, including his breakout hit ‘Riptide’.
He has performed at some of the biggest stages and festivals in the world, including Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza and Splendour in the Grass – as well as supporting the likes of Taylor Swift and P!NK on their stadium tours.
So it’s going to be pretty nice enjoying his incredible catalogue of songs in so many unforgettable settings. We’re already preparing for the singalongs.
Vance Joy will bring his Long Way Home Tour to stages around Australia from September to November 2022. Tickets are on sale from Friday 12 November.
