Unsound is stepping out as a standalone festival this November, having just announced its 2017 lineup.

Not wanting to do things by halves, the Adelaide billing features two world premieres, 15 Australian premieres and 13 performances that are totally exclusive to Australia.

US artists Holly Herndon, Wolf Eyes, Aurora Halal, Pharmakon join European faves like N.M.O, Porter Ricks, Errorsmith, Bill Kouligas and Amnesia Scanner on the festival lineup. As well as local artists Ambarchi/Abrahams/Avenaim and many more.

Talking to The Music, co-director David Sefton said, “I’m absolutely delighted that Unsound Adelaide is back as a standalone festival.

“The lineup we are announcing today is the largest, strongest and boldest yet with the addition of club nights, sound art installations and a talks program.

“Unsound is a major addition to the artistic landscape of South Australia and the whole of Australia — a new annual festival of boldly programmed electronic and experimental music — it’s very exciting.”
