TM LEGENDS 2017: Flume, Adele, Carl Barron & Matilda the Musical

What’s this? Only the first ever TM LEGENDS Awards; recognising the artists and events that have proved most popular with you, the Ticketmaster fans, in the last twelve months.

Through the TM LEGENDS Awards, we’re celebrating the biggest and best events according to Ticketmaster Australia customers.

We’ve even gone and made some cool trophies for the Legends to put next to their respective Grammys. Pretty nice of us, we know.

TM LEGENDS 2017 – the legends:

Best-selling musician: Adele

Following the sell-out success of her first ever Australian tour, the British songstress has been crowned Best-selling musician in the TM LEGENDS Awards 2017.

Adele’s upcoming Australian tour was announced in November 2016, with tickets going on sale, and subsequently selling out, in the same month.

Some extra tickets were later released by promoters following the approval of her unique stage production; check availability now at

Best-selling comedian: Carl Barron

Queensland’s very own Carl Barron has beat off vast competition to win Best-selling comedian with hit show, Drinking With A Fork, which set box office records in Australia.

On being named a certified Legend by Ticketmaster, Carl Barron said, “I wasn’t ready for this one, when I found out I did a couple of fist pumps. Thank you very much to all the people who came out and watched the show.”

Best-selling Australian artist: Flume

To couple with his first ever GRAMMY win, Harley Edward Streten, aka Flume, is a legend in the Australian artist stakes.

2016 was an astounding year for the Sydney musician, record producer and DJ. He toured in support of sophomore album, Skin, in the same year and became #1 Australian artist for Ticketmaster gig-goers down under.

Best-selling musical: Matilda the Musical

Most popular event: Matilda the Musical

It’s a well-deserved double win for Matilda the Musical, who bag the Best-selling award in the theatre category but also the overall prize of most popular event.

The cast and creative team celebrate the news ahead of the production’s move to Crown Theatre Perth on 28 February. Book at
