Ticketmaster welcomes four new NSW venue partners
Ticketmaster is expanding its operation in New South Wales following its appointment as the exclusive ticketing provider for four of Venues NSW’s facilities including WIN Stadium, WIN Entertainment Centre, Hunter Stadium and Pirtek Stadium.
Ticketmaster is committed to servicing a greater number of clients and customers in NSW to ensure the ticket-buying process is simple, engaging and enjoyable. Ticketmaster is now better-represented in more areas of NSW including Wollongong, home of WIN Stadium and WIN Entertainment Centre, Newcastle with Hunter Stadium and Parramatta where Pirtek Stadium is located.
The partnership with these four venues gives Ticketmaster customers a new range of great sports and entertainment events to choose from. Each of the four venues will have Ticketmaster’s market-leading Interactive Seat Maps (ISM) installed, which will allow ticket purchasers to buy seats off a map of live, real-time inventory. ISMs are hugely popular with customers as they can refine their search to suit their desires and ensure they are getting the best available seats within their price category and ticket type. ISMs also allow Ticketmaster customers to tag their seats on Facebook and RSVP to events through social media.
Pirtek Stadium is home to the Parramatta Eels NRL Club and Western Sydney Wanderers A-League Club. Hunter Stadium regularly hosts events featuring the Newcastle Knights NRL Club as well as A-League matches involving the Newcastle Jets. The NRL’s St George Illawarra Dragons and South Coast Wolves soccer team regularly play matches at WIN Stadium, while the Wollongong Hawks basketball team appears at WIN Entertainment Centre.
The WIN Entertainment Centre also hosts arts, music and theatre events and Ticketmaster is currently selling tickets for entertainment events such as Legally Blonde the Musical, The White Album Concert, Tina Arena, the Wiggles and Roxette Live.
In November WIN Stadium will make history when it hosts the World Champion Kangaroos v Samoa as part of the Rugby League Four Nations tour. It will be the first time the Four Nations has been played in Wollongong and will be an opportunity for Australian rugby to honour the amazing contribution Kangaroos heroes from the Illawarra region have made to the sport in our country.
