Spring Loaded 2020: Grinspoon, Magic Dirt, You Am I, and more

Remember the days when Big Day Out and Homebake were annual festivities, when Australian music was ruled by much-loved rock bands? Spring Loaded 2020 is bringing it all back.

Following a huge 2019 debut, Spring Loaded is returning in 2020 for twice the ’90s good times.

Last year we saw the likes of Spiderbait, Something For Kate, Jebediah and a stack more take over Sandstone Point Hotel in Southeast Queensland for a huge day of ’90s legends who still rule today.

We have been waiting to hear the 2020 news, and now we know that not only will Spring Loaded be returning to its Queensland home, it is also expanding to add a second date in Sydney.

Leading the way is none other than hard rock heroes Grinspoonand if their showing at the recent Fire Fight Australia gig is anything to go by, you can bet they’ll be bringing the absolute goods. They’ll be joined on both dates by the ever-brilliant You Am I, and recently reformed rockers Magic Dirt.

Each show gets their own exclusive acts too. Sydney will host the likes of Frenzal Rhomb, Custard, and Tumbleweed. While Queensland fans will spend the day rockin’ out with Regurgitator, Shihad and The Fauves.

Expect huge riffs, massive hits, and bucketloads of nostalgic goodness when Spring Loaded lands later this year.
