If you love movies almost as much as you love movie soundtracks, you need to get yourself down to Melbourne’s Playhouse Theatre this weekend.

Soundtrack Sessions is the double-night event celebrating two of the most iconic soundtracks OF. ALL. TIME.

Lawrence Kasdan’s The Big Chill is first up on Friday night (1 December), as Cookin’ on Three Burners performs the soundtrack along with guests Kylie Auldist, Andrew DeSilva, Nina Ferro and Stella Angelico.

The Big Chill is the story of six old friends gathering in the wake of the death of one of their own. A rich exploration of the way time’s passing transforms our relationships, it drew on a vast platter of songs that take us back to our younger selves.
