Need an update on your favourite tours? We've got you covered
Irish rockers Snow Patrol are heading back to Australia this August. This time will be extra special, with the band performing the tour in acoustic mode.
Fresh from touring around North America supporting Ed Sheeran on his stadium run, the band will venture Down Under to perform a run of special and intimate acoustic shows.
The band will perform as a three-piece featuring singer and guitarist Gary Lightbody, Johnny McDaid on guitar, piano, and vocals and Nathan Connolly on guitar and vocals.
Of course they’ll be playing all your favourite tracks including ‘Run’,‘Open Your Eyes’, and ‘Chasing Cars’, alongside songs from their 2018 album Wildness – except on this run, the band will perform the tracks like you’ve never heard them before.
In the twenty-plus years since they released their debut album Songs for Polarbears, Snow Patrol have well and truly cemented their place as one of the biggest bands in the world. Their list of accolades is as impressive as it is exhausting, with 15 million global album sales to their name, 5 UK Platinum albums, Grammy and Mercury Music Prize nominations, and 8x Platinum ARIA accreditations. And that’s barely scratching the surface.
These three-piece acoustic shows are a must-see for any fan.
Fans will have plenty of opportunities to get their hands on tickets ahead of the general onsale on 13. May.
Snow Patrol will perform at Concert Hall Perth on Sunday 4 August, Palais Theatre Melbourne on Saturday 10 August, and Sydney Opera House Concert Hall on Sunday 11 August. Tickets are on sale via Ticketmaster.com.au.
