Slumberjack announce 2022 Australian tour in support of new album ‘Dichotomy’

They are taking one of the year's best electronic releases on the road...

Fresh from releasing their long-awaited debut album Dichotomy, Australian duo Slumberjack have announced a run of tour dates in April and May to celebrate.

With an immense live show conceptualised and constructed entirely by the duo themselves, the Perth producers are promising an audio visual experience like no other. And after taking their live performance to some of the biggest festival stages in Australia and around the world – from Lollapalooza and EDC Las Vegas to Splendour In The Grass and Beyond The Valley – we expect it to be HUGE.

Dichotomy has been a long time in the making – eight years in fact. But the wait has been well and truly worth it, resulting in Slumberjack setting a very loft bar for electronic releases to come for the rest of the year.

Described by triple j as a record that “isn’t shy about leaning into the genre’s proven methods – the build, the drop, speaker-rattling bass and synthscapes – but keeps a clear focus on looking ahead to what’s next for the Slumberjack sound”, it perfectly encapsulates the versatility of Slumberjack as producers – finding a beautiful balance, and exploring the juxtaposition, between their heavy, dancefloor ready sound and their more emotive, melodic leanings.

As trailblazers of electronic music in this country for the better part of the last decade, Slumberjack cemented themselves as artists to keep an eye on from their beginnings in 2014. With a stunning catalogue of music, the duo have steadily evolved into one of the nation’s most awe-inspiring and in demand producers and live acts.
