Need an update on your favourite tours? We've got you covered
Safia have been slowing drip-feeding us new music since the release of their debut album Internal back in 2016, and now we finally have new album news.
Written and produced by the band over the past 2.5 years in their hometown Canberra, Safia’s long-awaited and highly-anticipated sophomore album Story’s Start or End is due for release on Friday 9 August.
In the past year, Safia have graced festival stages including Splendour in the Grass, Beyond the Valley, Origin Fields, This That, The Grass is Greener, The Drop and held down a headline slot at Corona Sunsets. They also completed a sold-out run of East Coast shows and headed over to China twice.
If the results of their debut album are anything to go by, Story’s Start or End is destined for big things. Landing at #2 on the ARIA Album chart, Internal received ARIA and J Award nominations and saw two singles Gold certified in Australia.
Now that we know a whole new album is incoming, where can we see our favourite Canberra trio live?
They’ll be hitting the road from the end of August and throughout September, giving you plenty of time to get every singalong perfected. As an extra special treat, Sydney duo Boo Seeka will be along for the ride, holding down the support slot on all dates.
Safia will bring their new album to Forum, Melbourne on Saturday 7 September and The Tivoli, Brisbane on Saturday 21 September. Tickets are on sale via Ticketmaster.com.au.
