Red Hot Summer announce Red Hot Sundays streaming sessions

And it's kicking off this month!

Across the last few months, many of our favourite artists have been visiting us in our homes – virtually at least – thanks to the beauty of live-streamed gigs. Now Red Hot Summer are throwing their hat in the ring with their Red Hot Sundays streaming sessions.

The series will kick off with a performance by singer-songwriter James Reyne from Melbourne venue The Corner Hotel.

For those that need an introduction, Reyne is an Australian music legend – and he’s put in the hard yards to earn that title. With four decades in the music industry under his belt, both as the frontman of seminal pub rock band Australian Crawl and as a solo performer, he has remained at the top of his game, enchanting audiences young and old with every performance.

Red Hot Sundays is free to watch via Facebook, but music fans are encouraged to purchase a ‘virtual ticket’ or exclusive event t-shirt.

The purchase of a virtual ticket or t-shirt will ensure the ongoing success of these sessions, with 100% of the profits split between the artist and venue.

“I’m excited to support this initiative – the invitation to play live and give our industry an opportunity to get back to work, was really appealing to me. I’m hoping that music lovers across Australia will get behind it and show their support via a virtual ticket. I can’t wait to play live and showcase tracks from my new album alongside some old favourites,” Reyne says.

The Red Hot Sundays streaming sessions are designed to continue the cash flowing through our music community. Each episode will engage with people in every corner of the industry – from artists to venues, production teams, sound engineers, booking agents, ticketing agencies, managers, graphic designers, publicists, and music media.
