Patti Smith announces last ever Australian show with special guest Courtney Barnett

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for Patti Smith fans in Australia, as the iconic singer announces her last ever show down under.

Following the sell out of six dates across Oz, Patti Smith and her band will play one final show at Melbourne’s Festival Hall on Thursday 20 April.

The acclaimed artist, writer, activist and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee will be joined by long-time band mates Lenny Kaye and Jay Dee Daugherty; with Tony Shanahan on piano/bass and Andy York on guitar.

Native alt-rocker Courtney Barnett will be the very special guest artist on the night; with this being her only scheduled Australian show for 2017. Courtney has made no secret of being influenced and inspired by Patti throughout her career.

These concerts in Sydney and Melbourne, along with her two performances at Bluesfest will be the last time to watch Patti Smith and her band perform in Australia.

This will be a night for fans and an honouring of Patti’s lifetime of work.
