5 Seconds of Summer are high off the success of third album, Youngblood, which saw them make Australian chart history.

5SOS become the 13th Aussie act, ever, to top the singles and album charts at the same time. Other acts to achieve it previously include John Farnham, Savage Garden, Delta Goodrem and Silverchair.

Talking about the album’s success, 5SOS said in a statement, “To have our music be received so well and reciprocated in our home country has been the proudest feeling in the world. To have Youngblood go number one was the cherry on top. Thank you from the bottom of our souls to everyone who has supported this band throughout this chapter of our career. There’s still so much to come.”

Muki will take on opening act duties at a string of 5SOS shows this month, including Melbourne’s Festival Hall, Adelaide’s Thebarton Theatre and HBF Stadium in Mt Claremont, Perth.
