See the Madness frontman bare all for Suggs: My Life Story

Madness frontman Graham McPherson, aka Suggs, is set to bring his unique one-man-show to Australia this April.

The short run of intimate shows coincide with Madness’ appearance at Byron Bay Bluesfest and a headline gig at Melbourne’s Festival Hall.

Suggs: My Life Story will see the legendary singer take to the stage for a night of words and music that’s set to be equal parts hilarious and emotional.

The official show preview reads:

“I’d just turned 50, the kids had left home, and my cat had just died.”

The death of Suggs’ beloved cat on his 50th birthday triggers a personal quest to discover what happened to the father he never knew. Stunned by what he learns, Suggs is taken back to his childhood on the tough streets of 1970s Soho and his first appearance on Top Of The Pops at the age of 18.

Is it a play? Is it stand up comedy? Is it Music Hall?  Whatever it is, hold on to your seats as Suggs goes on to stumble and plummet through the trap door of failure, then trampoline back up to catch the passing trapeze of show business success!

Suggs: My Life Story comes to Melbourne’s Comedy Theatre on Monday 24 April. Tickets go on general sale at 10am (local time) on Thursday 9 March via Ticketmaster.com.au
