With five powerhouse albums that traverse the worlds of pop, folk, classical, and opera, Miller-Heidke has cemented herself as a force of the Australian music industry. Her fifth studio album, 2020’s Top 10 ARIA Album Child In Reverse is her most pop album to date – giving us singles ‘This Is Not Forever’, ‘Deluded’, ‘A Quiet Voice’, and ‘Simpatico’ featuring Mallrat.
Her incredible catalogue ensures that all of these shows – whether in theatres or outdoor landscapes – will be sublime.
For those unfamiliar – the Cellar Door series, launched in May by Ben Folds, is unlike any winery show you’ve ever experienced. Featuring the same combination of good food, fine wine, and great music in the stunning locations that Australia’s iconic outdoor summer concert series a day on the green are known for, Cellar Door Series lands with a unique twist. Bringing an intimacy to each of its gigs, the Cellar Door Series will offer up an up-close, acoustic, and stripped back experience, held adjacent to the cellar doors of some of the most picturesque wineries across the country.
Trained as a classical singer at the Queensland Conservatorium, Miller-Heidke’s career is as diverse as her voice. She’s performed at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, dazzled with the English National Opera, won four Helpmann Awards for her debut opera as a composer, The Rabbits, written music and lyrics for Muriel’s Wedding: The Musical ,and represented Australia at Eurovision 2019.
Kate Miller-Heidke will perform around Australia from September to December. Tickets are on sale via Ticketmaster.com.au.
